Esprit Guitare: 4 years already! And now ?

Birthday of Esprit Guitare

Yes, the workshop has been open for 4 years now.

4 years of discoveries, meetings, life stories, love stories of customers with their instruments.
More than 500 instruments have passed through the workshop, each with its own story to tell.

Esprit Guitare has become unifying, has encouraged meetings and exchanges. Some customers have become friends, others have become customers of my other activity (axialdata), many return regularly with other instruments. It makes me proud 🙂

And more and more, I found myself confronted with questions for which I did not necessarily have solutions. The two questions that come up most often are:

• Do you repair amps or pedals?
• Do you repair (acoustic) pianos?

So as I like challenges and these two subjects are not unknown to me, I chose to explore the question…

The projects

Electronic repair: amplifiers, speakers or pedals

The subject is not unknown to me at all since electronics is my initial training, at university…
So I just had to upgrade my knowledge during training which will end at the end of September with an internship and I will be able to offer this new service.

On the menu:

• Fault diagnosis
• Repairs to amplifiers (analog)
• Changing tubes on tube amps
• Replacing capricious potentiometers
• Pedal repair (analog)

This all mainly concerns analog hardware (or power supplies, if applicable). For digital, there is often not much to do (economically speaking, it is rarely repairable).

Well, the truth is that without officially communicating about this new service, I have already repaired several amps for a few months… 😉

Piano repair (acoustic)

Here again, demand and chance encounters, combined with my existing knowledge of pianos (it still remains the first instrument on which I learned music at age 5), allowed me to begin training in piano repair.

There is still work to be done before I can offer my services in this area, but it is in progress 😉

THANKS

So for all that, for the loyalty, for the ideas you give me, for the projects in which you challenge me, I would like to say a big thank you. This great adventure would not exist without you!

Temporary closure

I would like to take this opportunity to inform you of the closure of the workshop for the entire month of September.
