Fender Stratocaster US guitar
The Esprit Guitare violin workshop received a visit from this pretty US Fender Stratocaster which suffers from the same disease as most Fenders: rapid wear of the frets. Especially when its owner is a professional… 😉
And I’m not talking about the quality of the nitro cellulose varnish used by Fender… But hey, it gives a vintage touch which is very fashionable…
The work program on this pretty Strat was mainly the replacement of the frets. And suddenly, a complete adjustment to be made (on new strings): neck, bridge, intonation.
We had to adjust the nut a little to compensate for the new height of the new frets, and it sounds like a new instrument again! 🙂
A swipe on the handle for hydration and maintenance, a swipe of polish on what remains of the varnish and presto!
Here we go again for hours of concert and studio!!
