Harley Benton DC-Junior Guitar

Overview of this Harley Benton DC-Junior FAT TV Yellow

The lutherie workshop Esprit Guitare received a visit from this pretty Harley Benton DC-Junior in its FAT TV Yellow version.

A bright color, a brand renowned for its low prices but its instruments of relatively good quality (for the price), and a rebellious look!
Here it arrives with a factory setting (so rotten).

The owner would like a revision/adjustment as well as a substantial customization: New microphone, new electronics and new bridge. It arrived with all the necessary parts.

Work completed

Let’s start with the easel! A few adaptations to make to be able to mount the new one, but nothing complicated. Then, we move on to the electronics: dismantling the original circuit, installing the new microphone, with some adaptations, and installing the new passive kit.

Then we move on to the revision and adjustment. A small adjustment to the fret leveling was necessary to obtain optimal action and great playing comfort.

Conclusion

With its new attributes, this Harley Benton DC-Junior becomes a very good guitar!!
The neck and the violin are very well made. It already sounded pretty good with the original electronics, but switching to the new kit brings it into the big leagues!!
