Strandberg Boden Guitar
A very unusual guitar came to Esprit Guitare. It’s a Strandberg Boden 😉
Overview of this Strandberg
This guitar is part of the “Headless” guitar categories. Well, in reality, it’s headless and almost bodyless, when you see the shape of it, reduced to the bare minimum…
It therefore arrived at the workshop for a replacement of the microphones (the owner wanted to put back the original ones which had been changed), a modification of the wiring plan and a cleaning/adjustment session.
Work completed
The first thing to do was to unsolder the original microphone covers. Then dismantle the previously installed microphones. In fact, since I had to modify the wiring plan, I finally unsoldered everything to be able to rewire everything cleanly.
Then, the cleaning/adjustment stage: polishing the frets, maintaining the fingerboard, cleaning and polishing the body, installing new strings and adjustment.
Here, we have a schredder guitar… So we let loose on a slightly “extreme” setting, in terms of action 😉
Conclusion
This is an amazing guitar. With its angular neck profile, odd shape and unusual balance, it nevertheless remains comfortable to play. And with this new mic setup, it sounds great and very versatile!! 🙂
