Stratocaster type guitar

Overview of this stratocaster type guitar

Certainly, this is not a Fender Stratocaster. It’s a « no name » Stratocaster type guitar, perhaps assembled from parts of different guitars, perhaps made cheaply in some factory or workshop in a distant country… We don’t know. However, it is a guitar. It therefore has its place in the lutherie workshop Esprit Guitare and on this site 😉

It went through the workshop for an overhaul.

Work completed

To begin, we check the hardware: strap attachment, bridge, mechanics, pickguard, selector, back plate, tension springs, etc. Then we move on to cleaning: dismantling the bridge and cleaning all its parts. Cleaning and polishing the body, dismantling the pickguard and checking the electronics. Then the neck: cleaning the fingerboard, checking the fret leveling and polishing the frets.

Finally, we can move on to reassembly: pickguard, bridge. Installation of new ropes and adjustment. The curvature of the neck, the saddles for action and intonation and finally the height of the pickups.

We will be able to try the beast!

Conclusion

I don’t know how much this guitar may have cost to purchase. Certainly not very expensive. And yet it sounds great. The neck has no defects, it is comfortable and pleasant to play. The electronics fulfill their role well, the microphones are standard and faithfully reproduce the typical Strat sound, without buzz or hum. The knobs are effective.

Frankly nothing negative about this pretty guitar. Only good things! 🙂
