An astonishing Yamaha Drop6 went to the Esprit Guitare workshop 😉
Overview of this Yamaha Drop6
Pretty green color for this atypical guitar. Only downside: a little high action. To be settled, therefore. Except that one of the pivots of the floating easel is broken. It promises not to be simple.
Work completed
Cleaning and polishing, for starters. Then polishing the frets and maintaining the fingerboard, as always. When everything is perfect, we can start working 😉 We gently intervene on the broken pivot. The ideal, obviously, would be to replace it. But it’s a different budget and we’re also short on time. So we are content to save the furniture, for the moment.
Once the bridge has been brought back to a reasonable height, we move on to installing new strings and adjusting. Truss rod, saddles and springs for action and intonation.
Conclusion
Excellent guitar, this Yamaha has found ideal playing comfort. Great sound and good versatility 🙂
