Other
If you did not find a rate that matches your project in the tables above, do not worry! 😉 That is normal. Every project, like every instrument, is unique. Feel free to request a quote. I will review your project and send a detailed quote so you can decide with full information.
06 96 36 77 41In lutherie, it is always difficult to publish a single precise rate for a given job. Every instrument is different, and each job has specifics that affect how long it takes. Example: cleaning a fingerboard. Depending on how dirty the frets/fingerboard are, the work may take a variable amount of time – about 15 minutes if the neck is not too dirty, or an hour (or more) if it is really grimy.
As a rule, I provide a quote free of charge for each of your projects. I always weigh the value of the instrument against the cost of the work I propose. Sometimes a repair may cost more than buying an equivalent instrument… But you may also have a special emotional bond with your instrument, and that is perfectly valid. In every case, we discuss it together, I outline the options, I prepare a quote, and you decide. 🙂
