Ibanez BTB 845V Bass
It’s a splendid Ibanez BTB 5-string bass that went through the Esprit Guitare violin workshop! A real pleasure to review this beauty! 🙂
Overview of this Ibanez BTB
We no longer present the Ibanez basses, they have amply demonstrated their qualities. This Ibanez BTB 845V is part of the brand’s top range. 5 strings, active electronics, Bartolini pickups, originally set up in 0.032/0.100 for tuning in E, A, D, G, C; all made in Indonesia. It’s very good.
Work completed
A repair on the nut, which showed a fault in assembly and adjustment by the previous owner, then a complete overhaul of the beast. In particular a check of the electronics, which presented randomly weird behavior… and we finish with the adjustment with the new string gauge and a classic tuning in B, E, A, D, G.
Conclusion
It’s a great instrument!! Nothing to say about that. Fine, precise, the Bartolini microphones are really well used. As for the problem observed with the electronics… You just have to remember to replace the active electronics battery, from time to time 😉
