Fender Stratocaster Diamond Guitar

Overview of this Diamond Stratocaster 60th anniversary edition

So, we are still in rarity!! The technical name of this Diamond Stratocaster is 60th ANNIVERSARY AM SRS STRAT 3TS… Ok, that’s less sexy.
This pretty gem was born in 2006. And presents a whole bunch of innovations (for 2006 in any case). These include the stepped Fender/Schaller tuners, the new Vintage pickups (paradox? Haha!), the new Delta Tone system (the “Delta Tone” system includes a high-output bridge pickup and a special “No-Load tone” controller for the middle and bridge pickups), among other innovations of the time.
And then the final touch: the small zirconium inlay in the headstock to illustrate the Diamond side.

This one was customized by replacing the pickguard with a black version (it was originally white) which gives it a slightly more modern and biting side.

Work completed

A major overhaul and repair on the electronics. In terms of repairs, we completely replaced all the knobs (with original Fender parts, obviously).
The revision part is now a great classic that you know, I will not go into detail.
I spent a little time on the adjustment, because the frets are starting to get pretty worn. This is the recurring disease of Stratocasters.

Conclusion

This limited series is a real success!! The electronic additions compared to the standard version are a real plus. And it still sounds good strat. Great model!
