Fender Telecaster Jim Root signature guitar

Overview of this Fender Jim Root Telecaster signature

This splendid Jim Root Telecaster in black version came to pay a visit to the Esprit Guitare lutherie workshop.

She arrived in very good condition. A setting a bit too high, like many commercial guitars. But nothing insurmountable.

Work completed

So, it goes through the “complete overhaul” box, which you know by heart: cleaning, maintaining the fingerboard, polishing the frets, checking the mechanics and screws, checking and dusting the electronics, checking the fret leveling, installing new strings, adjusting the truss-rod, adjusting the action and intonation and finally, testing! 🙂

Conclusion

Ah, the Jim Root signature Fender Telecaster is the union of classic and metal. With its mahogany body and satin finish, it has a killer look. The active EMG® humbucker pickups deliver heavy power, perfect for fans of big sound. Its 12″ radius fingerboard is a call for wild bends. A real gem for metalheads with a chic side.

Jim Root, the man behind this beauty, is the masked guitarist of Slipknot and the ex of Stone Sour. Known for its ripping riffs, it’s no wonder Fender wanted to imprint its style on a Telecaster. And the result? A guitar that has as much character as the man in the mask.
