Godin LGXT guitar
The lutherie workshop Esprit Guitare received a visit from this venerable Godin LGXT 😉
Overview of this Godin LGXT
Why venerable? Because she’s not young anymore. It has had a pretty good life, however, but its owner wants the electronics refurbished, following some unfortunate DIY work. The magnetic part no longer responds normally at all, the piezo part is somewhat unstable. So, he wants to replace all the electronics.
Work completed
Replacing all the electronics on a guitar that has a magnetic circuit (standard electric guitar pickups), a piezo circuit (electro-acoustic type) with a piezo sensor per string and a midi circuit requires a bit of method. Especially since we took the opportunity to replace the Seymour Duncan bridge and pickups.
A major project which obviously ends with a complete adjustment.
Conclusion
Once all this work is done, we can plug in the beast. And there, it sounds seriously powerful!!
A 2022 version of all the electronics is like a new guitar 😉
