Cort C4H Bass

This splendid Cort C4H Bass went to get a makeover at the lutherie workshop Esprit Guitare 🙂

The instruments Cort enjoy a mixed reputation. Some find them very good, others consider that it is an “entry-level” brand and therefore synonymous with poor quality… Personally, I think the truth is somewhere between the two. I find that they are good instruments, as long as they are well tuned. And they offer a very favorable quality/price ratio.

But back to this pretty bass. A good cleaning was necessary and above all a good adjustment session.
After having checked the electronics (active, this on model), carried out a partial fret leveling (all instruments leaving the factory of large productions have small defects in fret leveling), polishing of the frets, maintenance and hydration of the fingerboard, complete cleaning and polishing, we can move on to the installation of new strings, then adjustment of the curvature of the neck, the action (height of the strings on the neck) and the intonation at the level of the saddles.

We can give it a try! 🙂 It’s my favorite moment 😉
Result: it’s lively, versatile, precise, accurate. I like it a lot! 🙂
