Alhambra 5P CW E8 Guitar

A pretty Alhambra 5P CW E8 came to be serviced at the lutherie workshop Esprit Guitare 😉
It is one of the most renowned brands in the world of classical guitars.

Overview of this Alhambra 5P CW E8

This one is electro acoustic. But that doesn’t take away absolutely anything from its qualities 😉
Externally, it is in good condition. She suffered a few small shocks here and there, but nothing bad.
Internally, a major problem: the battery holder is detached. As a result, the battery moves around according to the guitarist’s movements… Not cool.
Another problem, the nut is detached. Strictly speaking, this is not a big problem: once the strings are in place, their tension keeps the nut in place. But every time you change the strings, there is always the risk of losing it, putting it back upside down or positioning it incorrectly.

Work completed

Several different things to do, suddenly.
We start with the nut. Cleaning of the location and light sanding before proper regluing.
Same thing for the battery compartment, inside the body. So not great accessibility. But it’s stuck 🙂
Finally, we do a quick cleaning and polishing, maintenance of the neck and polishing of the frets, so everything shines nicely.
Finally, before putting on new strings, go through the bridge nut adjustment box. An adjustment was necessary, given the somewhat high action.
It’s done.

Conclusion

It’s when you try the Alhambra 5P CW E8 that you realize that the brand’s reputation has not been usurped. It sounds warm, the vibration is soft and powerful, the feel is fine and the audio spectrum is well-filled
