Overview of this Jasmine by Takamine

This pretty Jasmine by Takamine arrived at the workshop with the easel dangling at the end of the strings… Ouch! An injured guitar is always painful… This one had already had a repair, but the gluing having been made with an unsuitable glue, it did not hold… As a result, the bridge came unstuck and above all, remnants of glue remained on the wood.

Work completed

First thing to do, therefore: remove the glue and clean the location of the easel and the back of the easel to expose the wood. Not easy with the glue used…
Then, we glue it back together and put it under pressure for 24 hours.

Finally, cleaning, polishing, maintenance of the fingerboard, polishing of the frets, checking of the mechanics, installation of new strings, adjustment and testing.

Conclusion

A very pretty classical guitar, with a warm and coppery sound. Beautiful finishes for a sub-brand (from Takamine) and a very pleasant result to play 🙂
